Was the wait for this troubled title worth it?
"It's a bold strategy, Cotton, let's see if it pays off for 'em"
NCSoft and Amazon Games bring the F2P MMORPG to a global audience, but will they like it?
It came at the right time with the right IP, but does it deliver?
See ya all ltr
good Bomb: atlantica online. dunno why you haven't talked about this one at all. HUGE world / turn based battle like old final fantasy games / player has one main character and bazilion of options to form his squad of 9 members + equip them / great and mature community / player driven economy and craft system that allows any1 to craft anything and ruin the economy. + great events and community.
bad Bomb: atlantica online. english servers are only in NA with their timezones, event shedules and etc. europe has 2 servers from nexon eu but they are in french/german.so i, being an EU citizen, am have to to play in NA servers, only because i don't know german/french that good(and yes, game clients, websites, menus ingame are in those languages). hey, and you are worrying about call of china :)
See ya on the servers and on the Steam chat :D

And i would love if you made a MMOBOMB TeamSpeak3 server so all can join and play together and speak to each other i thing it would be fun and be a big thing.
Another Da-Bomb to Realm of the Mad God. Retro 8-bit graphics, permenant death, and nothing but cosmetics and pets to buy. It's all about skill to unlock the next class. I'm honestly suprised there is nothing about this on MMOBomb.
As for the question regarding COD being free-to-play, I'm going to agree with whoever made up the idea of it being a test. I don't remember which one of you it was. Though other than that I don't have much of an opinion. I stay out of the FPS genere for the most part.
So, yea, nothng more to say regarding the episode. Though I have a question for Magicman regardion Aion. What server(s) do you play an Asmodian on? You've probably been asked this before, but for the life of me I cannot find anywhere that it says what server you play on.
I guess if the game game had different publishers in different areas it might be understandable that such bullshit happens, for example Aion US vs EU models. But if it's one publisher for all then either they had to publish it only in 1 specific place (for testing purposes, as Brim said) or have the same model everywhere. Also if they will later change if to f2p in other regions, I bet the payers who actually bought the game will receive some kind of crappy bundles of stuff, or something to represent themselves among those who start playing after it goes f2p, not the actual game price in in-game currency.
besides with it being in china you know the games gonna be FULL of hackers . well let them have
their call of duty we have better games made in the states . did you know there are other games
besides anime mmorpgs ?
also for and Da Bomb giving it to blacklight retri
now i know this got alot of hate in the beiginning and im not even gunna lie i was one of those hatters but when it went onto steam i went on it again and said fine ill give it a try see wat they changed and im gunna tell u now they have made so many changes its an amazing game i cant stop playing it they have added a new premade gun rentals which practically equalize the level diffrerences (so u have the skill ur gunna kill :P)
Also i would like to add that maybe the video of the week isnt getting many videos sent it because well no 1 knows that its for us :P aahhahahah i mean lots of people record their games i dont see why they wouldnt want 1000's of people watching that small clip and maybe coming and watching the whole thing?
sorry for the long one :D
P.S. Magicman is it great to have gamer-wife or is it not?
The A bomb is to all free 2 play games cause they are not managing to take my eyes of guild wars 2
The D bomb is to mmobomb who is actually managing to do that love your shows always intresting and keep up the good work (also i need a new microphone and i heared u know an expert can u suggust a good one)
I also have a big A-bomb for Dust 514. I heard about this game a long time ago and at first they were talking about making it for PC, PS3 and maybe Xbox 360. I understand why they didn't make it for the Xbox 360 because it would take multiple disks and upgrading an MMO might be difficult on the Xbox. I don't understand why they didn't make it for the PC though. EVE is on the PC so it would make sense to make it on the PC instead of just the PS3. I think it'll be a fail on the PS3 because more people play Xbox and PC games than have a PS3. One thing I'm hoping is the exclusiveness for the PS3 isn't for the life of the game and maybe after a while they'll make a port to the next Xbox.
I have a big Da-Bomb for Jess Brohard and the new F2P weekly. I don't know how people can not like the new F2P Weekly, Jess is hot, and she loves games! Big thumbs up to Jessica, keep up the good work.
Question of the week:
Taking a popular game that is B2P and making it F2P but only in China sounds like it could be a test. In the US we have so many F2P, FPS lobby games that maybe it wouldn't be fair to dump another one into the mix.
This is hard to do without mentioning CoD so in the second part of my answer I will. CoD is a huge game and always sells millions of copies. Maybe they want to see how well it will be in another country first? Activision/Blizzard didn't say it would never come to the US so this may be a test market to get rid of the bugs and see what they can do about cheating before they mass market it to the US. Maybe since CoD is bigger on the Xbox than on the PC in the US they're waiting for the next Xbox to come out and put it on there? Also there aren't any F2P, cash shop games on the Xbox 360 so maybe they're talking to Microsoft to see if it can be done (or they talked to them and found out it can't until the next Xbox)? Maybe because PC does have a ton of F2P, FPS games and there is no doubt that CoD would do well, but maybe its not much different than other games of its genre (with game modes and game play) so they're going to skip the US all together? There are a lot of maybe's to the question and only Activision/Blizzard really knows the real answer.
RAIDERZ What about Raiderz key fk
As for Call Of Duty online. This should be seen only as an assumption but I feel it is a good idea from a business perspective, going with the whole idea of piracy all ready mentioned in the video I can see this being a fairy good idea in that respect, a long with the fact that China like Korea and Japan have a very big following for MMO's, I don't blame them with games like Archeage coming out in korea, it just makes sense to offer that system (in my eyes) to countries like China.
Great show as per usual I thank you for your continued efforts and work towards these great videos, this is certainly one of the best communities.
