In my opinion, those who are interested in moba's have found a moba that they enjoy sticking with. It's a simple supply and demand issue. People are content with the mobas they have, so game developers don't have a need to pursue making new mobas.

I've never understood the appeals of MOBA's tbh. It's like the one genre of MMO I can't get into :P
