Questions for Hi-Rez!
« on: January 04, 2016, 07:32 PM »
Hey guys!

So Wednesday I'm heading over to Hi-Rez and have been promised some interviews. The tentative list that I have includes:

Todd Harris
Hi-Rez Studios COO and Co-Founder

Stew Chisam
Hi-Rez Studios President

Mick Larkins
Paladins Lead Producer

Rory Newbrough
Paladins Lead Designer

Scott Zier
SMITE VP of Game Design

Chris Larson
SMITE Executive Producer

Sean McBride
Tribes: Ascend Lead Artist

Now, not all of these have been confirmed. For instance, there's a pretty slim chance I'll actually get to interview both Todd and Stew considering their schedules.

There's also a good chance I might be able to snack a few unscheduled interviews throughout the week as well.

That said, I'd love to take some of your questions with me, provided they're good questions.

What do I mean by "good". Well, basically, no trolly questions and nothing like "Why does your game suck?" if for some reason you think it does. That said, if there are things about think need work and you want to ask about it, you are more than welcome to submit those questions to me. I'm not afraid to ask them serious questions for you.

Just drop the questions here. I'll be heading in to Hi-Rez at 1:30 PM Eastern on Wednesday for these interviews, but I will be checking throughout the week, just in case I get an extra chance to chat with some of the staff while SWC is going.

Nothing interests me among their rather modest number of games.
Nor did they achieve anything significant in game industry, with the exception of smite.
I pass.

I suppose you could nag them about Paladins, not that much is known about that one, GL. ^^)

What are your plans for the future (about Smite and Paladins)?
Global Agenda 2 :P ??
Any release date for Paladins?

That's all I think. I can't come up with another question..

The folks from Hi-rez Studios are the kind of people that talking to has no effect.

There are no "good" questions you can ask them, cause there won't be any "good" answers coming back.
I can tell you exactly what the answers to any of the questions I would have for them are:

Why is there a Hi-Rez software running inside the background of my computer checking for blacklisted software I run on my computer when I don't even have any of Hi_Rez' games running?
Answer: We don't approve of cheating

Why does Hi-Rez not stick to it's own EULA?
Answer: We don't approve of cheating

What hopes do you have for Paladin?
Answer: We don't approve of cheating

Eh...alright. I get it, you don't approve of che-

But only cause I'm ethyl-alcoholphobic. So you can drink up without worries.
