A Big Change Is Coming To Allies In DC Universe Online, And Private Matches Are Being Tweaked
The latest Producer’s Letter outlines several new changes coming to the MMO.

Over the weekend, DC Universe Online dropped the first Producer’s Letter of 2025. The last letter was shared in December, before the first chapter of the MMORPG’s Light and Rain story arc was released.
The latest letter offers players a look at changes the devs are bringing to the game, many of which are intended to “enhance” the player experience. First off, Artifacts are being expanded with the addition of two more slots. Players can also look forward to an improved Ally system. Rather than operating as they had before, they will now hang out and fight by the player’s side.
Another thing being improved is Private Matches, with a feature that bypasses the minimum group requirements for engagements. Players will now be able to solo a Duo or take on Raids with a smaller group.
Other improvements being looked at include improvements to the Knockout/Revive System, changes to battlefield collision, and more.
Of course, the next chapter of Light and Rain is on the way and will take players to Mogo. We don’t have a precise date yet, but players should set aside some time in late May.
