Throne And Liberty Summer

If you’re like me, you enjoy a good bit of virtual fishing. (That’s opposed to fishing in the real world, which requires you to go outside and deal with the sun, bugs, and the possibility of ending up drenched. Of course, that last bit probably requires one to be pretty clumsy, but I am. Soooo.)

At any rate, while some games have fishing all year round, there are those that seem to save it for summer events. Or, at the very least, the devs introduce new, special fish and rewards to encourage players to break out their fishing poles. Such is the case with Throne And Liberty, which announced the Summer Splash… well… summer event.

The event is slated to kick off in just a few days on July 24 and will run through August 13. So, fans of the F2P MMORPG will have plenty of time for fun in the sun, fishing for exclusive fish, cooking, and more. The event even includes a 6v6 limited-time PvP mode on an arena map designed just for the occasion – Soggy Sandcastle. Players will transform into a summer Amitoi in one of the primary MMO roles and battle not only the other team but also shark-infested waters. Sounds like a good time for the adrenaline junkies. The mode will feature weekly arena rewards for playing and/or winning a certain number of matches. Complete the requirements and earn Splash Coins, which can be exchanged for all kinds of goodies.

Other activities include dealing with the Tidebully Goblins trying to take over the beach and, as mentioned above, fishing and cooking.
