Big Bosses Lay The Smack Down In Albion Online's "Avalonian Invasion" Event

Sandbox Interactive is kicking off a new event in its sandbox MMO Albion Online today. Titled "Avalonian Invasion," the event will introduce the Avalonian faction to the game. This is not a playable faction, but one players will find themselves up against in the Outlands. It seems the new faction has a unique kind of energy that players can harvest after defeating them to use in upgrading various items. It can also be used to create a new mount -- the Avalonian Basilisk.

The update also adds new ways for players to earn season points -- killing Avalonian Mage World Bosses. It won't be easy, though. These bosses use massive beam attacks to deal impressive damage. Of course, if you do manage to take them down and earn those points, there are new rewards to be had. A list of these is available on the Albion Online site.
