Bless Unleashed PC Service Moving From Neowiz To Valofe In January
Character data will be retained, no word on fate of Xbox version.
Bless Unleashed will soon be under new management, less than half a year after it launched on PC. On January 26, all "development, publishing, and operation" for the Steam service of the game will be transferred from Neowiz to Valofe, which handles publishing for games such as Riders of Icarus, Combat Arms, and Atlantica on PC.
The announcement of the transfer states that "character data will remain the same and players can still continue playing the game" but also that "game data and account/payment information related to the game are based in the Steam platform, [so] a transfer of them will not be performed." That leads us to believe that players might have to create a new account with Valofe to access their existing Bless Unleashed data, similar to how ArcheAge players had to create an account with Kakao Games to continue their progress in that game.
As of today, new accounts cannot be created on the PC Bless Unleashed website. Existing accounts, and customer service with Neowiz, will terminate on January 24.
There's no word yet as to how the Xbox version of the game will fare; it's still listed as being developed by Neowiz and Round 8 Studio and published by Bandai Namco. Given Neowiz's rapid departure from the PC Bless Unleashed scene, however, we'd imagine it's only a matter of time before it hands the game over to someone else for its console version, as well.
