Bloodhunt Devs Say Grouping Will Be An Option By Launch
When you're making a game about vampires battling each other across the streets and rooftops of Prague, it's not just the blood that flows. Data does too, and Sharkmob has gathered all that juicy, bright-red data -- data are red, right? -- from the recent closed alpha for Bloodhunt, letting players know just what it discovered and what's being worked on.
Unsurprisingly, people want to play together, and Sharkmob understands that. Group play wasn't enabled in the alpha because the purpose of that test was "mainly to stress test our servers and get some initial feedback." The team is working hard at completing the feature and plans to have it ready by launch, but only for teams working together. Being able to queue into a match with friends as solo players creates the understandable issue of players teaming up and creating an unfair advantage.
Other minor bugs that you'd expect from an alpha, such as issues with getting stuck on objects, were also addressed in what Sharkmob said was the first of three of its "Closed Alpha Learnings" posts. We're pretty sure it's more about Sharkmob "learning" about the offending objects rather than "learning" that people don't like being stuck on them.
