Overwatch 2 Lifeweaver

Recently, Overwatch 2 made a bunch of changes to Lifeweaver in order to make them a more viable character. The dev team spent the last few weeks applying various changes to the character, modified their control scheme, and buffed them. Their ammo capacity was increased and their ult was buffed. All of these changes increased their win rate. The end result isn’t quite what they were shooting for, but the shooter's team considers it a good start.

According to a recent blog post, the developers plan to do more. They want to make it so that there’s an obvious reason for players to choose to play Lightweaver, so for now, they’re going to observe and see what’s going on, but suggest that they will make other changes like buffing Thorn Volley. In general, they plan for changes intended to highlight his strengths. For more details, the post can be found on the Overwatch site.

In additional news, new Twitch drops have been revealed for Overwatch 2. As always, these require players to connect their Twitch account and their Battle.net account in order to earn the goodies by watching the Overwatch 2 category on Twitch. Watching two hours of Overwatch 2 content from May 9 to May 22 will earn players a Tool Box spray for Wrecking Ball. Watching an additional three hours earns a Toolbox Souvenir.

Note: Activision Blizzard has been sued by California’s Civil Rights Department, alleging violations of California’s Fair Employment and Housing Act and Equal Pay Act. CEO Bobby Kotick is alleged to have known about the alleged violations within his company. These allegations have all been denied by Activision Blizzard and the company points to additional diversity and inclusion training as past examples of taking the accusations seriously at the time they were made.
