There Are More Signs That The Open-World StarCraft Shooter Might Be A Real Thing
Now they’re looking for a lead designer for their “Unannounced Game”.

Do you remember back in February, when we shared a report that Nexon is busy working on a StarCraft shooter? The news came from a Korean outlet, but wasn’t officially confirmed either way. That said, we do know that Nexon and Blizzard have a working relationship – something that we solidified with recent news that the company will begin publishing Overwatch in Korea sometime this year.
We also know (via a post on Massively) that Blizzard is currently hiring for an “Unannounced Game” that also happens to be an open-world shooter. In particular, they’re now looking for someone to fill the “Lead Designer, Innovation” position on the team for this game. The job listing asks for experience in “shipped AAA combat-focused titles”.
That said, the first reports of this possible StarCraft shooter stated that Nexon was putting the team together, as they’d acquired the rights to create games using the IP. So, it’s interesting that Blizzard is looking for someone. It seems they'll be working closely on this project. That makes good sense, as messing up a StarCraft shooter wouldn't exactly be ideal.
