Overwatch: Predictions For the Remaining 2026 Hero Releases
We have just four hero designs left to be revealed - but what can we expect from them?

Overwatch has officially unveiled the silhouette for the next hero to join the free-to-play team shooter's roster in 2026. This hero, a female DPS character, follows the five additions of Anran, Jetpack Cat, Mizuki, Domina, and Emre in the Season 1: Reign of Talon relaunch, marking the sixth character out of the ten mystery silhouettes to be revealed this year. Following the reveal of this character, who had a full reveal trailer release today, fans have continued to discuss theories about the rest of the mystery silhouettes. Keeping this in mind, we’re going to take a look at the remaining four character silhouettes and some of the most popular and plausible theories regarding each of them.
6th Hero Reveal – New DPS: What We Know So Far

Sierra, the latest hero, whose silhouette was recently revealed with full character art, will join the Overwatch roster as Hero 51 in Season 2. She has been teased as a DPS character, who, according to game devs, has a ‘satisfying kill shot’. It seems she might have ties to Helix Security, so it will certainly be interesting to see how her character fits into the Reign of Talon storyline.
Silhouette 1 – The Large Mecha

The most eye-catching silhouette within the entire image is, without a doubt, the huge robotic-looking figure standing in the back. There are a lot of possibilities in where this design could go, but for the most part, it is highly likely that they are a Tank, based on their silhouette and comparison to other Tank silhouettes/builds.
An interesting option would be for this mecha or Omnic-looking Tank to be revealed as one of D.Va’s MEKA teammates. Specifically, D.Mon is a popular choice that many fans have been wanting to see in the game since the Overwatch 1 days. D.Mon’s previous concept art included a large mech wielding a shield and sword, though, so this could go either way. There’s also a chance that it could be another MEKA member, such as Casino, King, or Overlord. Alternatively, it could be a completely new character from the likes of Null Sector, working alongside Ramattra, or a completely unrelated mecha character who is aligned to one of the other factions...but that would certainly be far less fun, wouldn’t it?
Silhouette 2 – Left to Anran

Once again, this one looks like a very DPS-styled silhouette, with many suspecting the character will be a sniper of some sort. Although I also would not say no to another Support sniper to join Ana.
Discussions around the Overwatch community also suspect that while this character is rather ambiguous in silhouette and not as blatantly obvious as the Omnic design on the right, they, too, may also be an Omnic. This is due to the supposed shards included behind the character and over their shoulder. An Omnic sniper would certainly be a fun addition to the game. After all, we’re in desperate need of more Omnics for the roster, as all these years from launch, we only have Zenyatta, Bastion, Orisa, and Ramattra.
An alternate theory is that this character could be another member of Wuxing University, where siblings Anran and Wuyang were training prior to joining up with Overwatch. Wuxing University has a Metal College, just as Anran’s Fire College and Wuyang’s Water College exist, so there is a possibility that we will get characters from these other colleges on the roster eventually. The real question is, would now be too soon following the Ye siblings?
Silhouette 3 – Right to Mizuki

The horns on this silhouette are a rather defining feature, hinting that we will either be getting some kind of demonic, horned character or a character in some kind of demon or oni mask. Because of this, guesses within the Overwatch community regarding this design have included a few different concepts. One is that the character could be a Hashimoto member or leader, which could establish some very interesting connections both with Mizuki and Kiriko, to say the least. There would also be potential for some voice lines with Hanzo and Genji in this case, too, considering their link to Kiriko and Kanezaka in the lore. Heck, perhaps it may even be a new Shimada clan member – now that could be exciting.
Alternatively, I would very much love for this to be another member of Kiriko’s Yokai gang, considering they are all known to wear masks to hide their identity. However, with the very recent addition of double-agent, Mizuki, it may be a stretch to get two characters from a minor faction such as the Yokai within the same year when the likes of Volskaya, the Phreaks, the Deadlong Gang, MEKA, and the Junkers, or even the likes of Los Muertos or the Deepsea Raiders could all do with some in-game representation.
Silhouette 4 – Behind Sierra & In Front of Domina

Last, but certainly not least, we have the mysterious Omnic silhouette on the right-hand side of the page, which has quickly become one of the most popular mystery designs on the concept artwork. From a first glance, it is somewhat obvious that the character is both an Omnic (thanks to all of those eyes!) and a detective, due to the classic hat and trenchcoat. That is already a very cool concept to consider for the game, but what is even more enjoyable to consider is what role this character may be, and where in the world lore/story they will land.
My main bet is that this character will be a Support hero. Sure, we have had some nice (and slightly problematic) additions with Mizuki and Jetpack Cat, but the Support roster still remains the smallest in the game, so it would be nice to see more options available for a particular role or team comp on that side of things. Our mysterious Omnic fella appears to be holding a cane or staff, too, which I think could work well as a primary weapon/heal staff. Honestly, I just want him to be able to bonk people on the head with it as a melee, much like Gambit’s melee from Marvel Rivals.
Considering his place in the lore, there are many ways in which this can go. Assuming every character silhouette on this page has at least one link to a pre-existing character, the Detective Omnic could perhaps be a friend of Zenyatta’s, keeping tabs on Null Sector and Ramattra, or a private investigator of sorts who is looking into Talon and Maximilien’s involvement with Talon. But who's to say that the Omnic character may only be linked to other Omnics? Tracer has shown to have many Omnic friends, some of which have made mission cameos, such as Iggy. This could be a mutual connection or an investigator working alongside Overwatch. Perhaps either to look into the mystery of Doomfist’s disappearance, or even on the potential mission Soldier: 76 and Sombra appear to be teaming up for, based on recent voice lines. The possibilities are literally endless with this guy, which makes him one of the most exciting reveals to come.
