Craftopia Launches On Xbox
The “Summer” update is scheduled for later this month.
While still in early access on Steam, Pocketpair’s survival action game Craftopia has already made the move to Xbox, launching on Xbox One as well as Series X|S as a “game preview”. The Xbox version, like Steam’s, is the most current version of the game and the developers already have plans for updates in the near future. Specifically, they’re already working on performance-enhancing patches for the Xbox system that should (hopefully) be out in the next two weeks.
Following the launch on Xbox, Pocketpair also announced the release date for “Summer Update 2021” – although, it’ll be more of a Fall update at this point (or Spring, depending on where you’re at). According to the announcement on the Steam page, players can expect the update to be released around 19:00 JST (6:00 am EST) on September 30th.
This update will introduce the new 6th age, new weapon types, new guns, new races, and more. The 6th age will need to be unlocked by defeating a boss named “Hydra”, also included with the new patch. Players will also be able to try out the new “Creative Mode”. In this mode, players can craft anything they like and experiment with things before attempting them in the main game. Although not everything may work in the game’s regular mode.
