Alien Isolation Creator Creative Assembly Announces New Zero-G Multiplayer Shooter HYNEAS
This is the new IP the Alien Isolation developers were teasing.
And now for something completely different – at least from the Creative Assembly team. The company, along with SEGA Europe, announced an all-new shooter titled HYENAS. The game pits 5 three-person teams against each other in floaty space combat. The teams fight in an area known as the “Taint”, which also happens to be what’s left of Earth.
If you’re wondering about how Earth ended up being just remains, blame it on the billionaires. The rich finally got their wish of colonizing another planet and left the rest of humanity behind to try to survive the destruction left in the wake of the zero-G tech used to do it. Interestingly, the combat in HYENAS all takes place in what are effectively malls containing the merchandise the billionaires intend to buy.
Oh. Yeah. And if you’re wondering if it’s a battle royale. Creative Assembly says it is not.
BTW, NOT A BATTLE ROYALE

HYENAS is slated to release some time next year, on PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PlayStations 4 and 5. Before then, interested players can sign for the alpha test.
