Hyenas Canceled

Today, Creative Assembly announced the end of Hyenas development via Twitter. The shooter's cancellation is part of a bigger decision to “begin a redundancy consultation process”. As stated on the Creative Assembly Twitter account, the decision will likely result in layoffs.

The official decision comes from Sega who announced it as part of their financials. According to the statement, the company is responding to the decline in the business built up during the early days of the COVID lockdown. As fewer people are forced to stay home, demand has decreased.

Hyenas isn’t the only project being canceled either. According to Sega’s statement, several projects being developed in Europe are being canceled. The others happen to be unannounced.
