We haven’t heard much about GameOlic’s free-to-play game, Tantra Rumble since it left Kickstarter; but as it turns out it’s doing pretty well. When Mike last wrote about the game, it was being developed by a small team of ten as a Unity project. Now, that team has more than doubled and the game has switched engines to Unreal Engine 4.
The team did scrap 90% of their original content to make this move, but if the above alpha gameplay video is any indication, they’ve been rolling nicely since.
For those wondering, GameOlic bills Tantra Rumble as a combination of MOBA, RPG, CCG, Action and Strategy; and is designed to offer players full control over their characters in strategic team battles. Players can expect a skill tree system, flexible character builds, and — in the future — an auction house and a mobile application.
