The end came fast for OGPlanet’s free-to-play shooter, Dizzel. We just posted a First Look on the game two months ago and now the game has been officially slated for shutdown.

Citing the shutdown of the developer’s studio, (pretty good reason to close a game) OGPlanet announced that the Dizzel servers would go fully offline on April 13, 2015, although the shutdown has already started with the cash shop being removed a few days ago. You can still purchase cash shop items using in game currency, but the sale of items for Astros (OGPlanet’s cash shop currency) has been discontinued.

For any of you that purchased Astros and used them in the Dizzel cash shop on or after December 10th, 2014, you can expect a refund of those Astros soon and will be free to use them in any other OGPlanet game of your choosing. This is a refund of the Astors though, NOT your actual cash so if you aren’t a fan of any other OGPlanet games then you’ll be sitting on Astros waiting for the next OGPlanet game that catches your eye.

Full closure details can be found on the game’s website.

  1. I wont be surprise that OGPlanet is shutting down Dizzel. I was introduced to this game last year from MMO Bomb giveaway. I tried and the game play was not good at all. In fact, I dont understand why do they need a powerful PC to play this game.

  2. This trend is what made me set a self standard of not investing a dime in a free to play with less than 1 year out of beta. It’s just way to frequent for companies to launch a game and soak in the hype funds then shut it down for a later re release or slight alteration and title change later. A complete waste of every supporting players time. OGPlanet goes on my avoid at any cost list after this one even without me ever touching Dizel, this is what, their 6th game to do this on a global market? That’s messed up.

    • It was like they didn’t care about Rumble Fighter(which had potential) and Lost Saga.
Now they are dead games due to the same fate with other companies

  3. How predictable, played few hours and deleted, i dnt like asian games because of ugly faces huge boobs and naked kids and baloon like mobs in most of them and faking martial arts, this one lookj like asian console game , ugly, next will going down monster robots zombies, both look like clone.

  4. When a game is shutting down why don’t they just let every1 sample to cash shop for free lets be honest Dizzel might just go up again maybe this year or the next if not then o well O,o

  5. Ohh…it was actually released? i though it was a beta or early access on steam.
Must have bombed hard if it’s only managed 8/9 months
