Download Fallout 76’s "Test Your Metal" Update For Free Now
Help the Brotherhood of Steel investigate the Rust Eagles’ attempt to build an army of combat bots.
An all-new Fallout 76 update landed today kicking off three new events and the game’s latest season, Heart of Steel: A Dread Island Tale. The three events consist of Test Your Metal, Eviction Notice, and Moonshine Jamboree. The first event, which shares its name with the update, tasks players with assisting the Brotherhood of Steel in an investigation into what a side branch of the Blood Eagles is up to now. Known as the Rust Eagles, this group has been busy gathering spare robot parts for a plan to build an army of combat bots. The event is located on the map of the Metal Dome, near Fort Atlas.
The second event, Eviction Notice, requires players to fight off waves of Super Mutants in order to defend a machine named the “Rad Scrubber”. This device belongs to an encampment of Settlers at Foundation and is designed as a solution to radiation levels. Fighting off the super mutants will not only save the Rad Scrubber, but also earn players Settler faction reputation, loot, and a chance at three-star legendary weapons.
The final event is the Moonlight Jamboree. During this event, players visit Moonshiner Ned to be sent on a mission to help him obtain a necessary ingredient for his Mire Magic Moonshine. It won’t be easy, because it’s Acidic Gulper Venom. Players will have to attract Gulpers to obtain 30 Venom. If they’re successful, they’ll receive Raider faction reputation, loot, and a new melee weapon.
