The Tholians Return In Star Trek Online’s Crystaline Chaos Event

Between now and May 26, Star Trek Online players can take part in the Crystalline Chaos event and earn progress toward the free-to-play MMORPG’s eighth Event Campaign reward, the Tholian Universal Kit Frame. The Tholians are back to take advantage of the current situation in the galaxy, but this time they seem to be accompanied by – or accompanying – a Crystalline Entity. It’s up to players to deal with the threat before it gets out of hand.

The event consists of three Space TFOs: Crystalline Catastrophe, Azure Nebula Rescue, and Vault: Ensnared. Players can play any of these to receive progress toward the Tholian Universal Kit Frame reward. This item provided defensive bonuses to players as well as set-based bonuses to the Universal Kit Module – Tholian Technology Suite and the Tholian Shocktrooper Radiation Cannon. That is, provided they’re used together.

Of course, the Kit Frame reward isn’t the only thing players will receive for their efforts. The event is also offering TFO Reward Boxes and Dilithium Ore. A full rundown on the event and rewards is available on the Star Trek Online Steam page.
