Elyon Server Merger Process

In case you were out of the loop, Kakao Games is preparing to merge servers in February. Specifically, the merges will happen on February 16. As mentioned in a previous post, the developer intends to consolidate all the servers in a region into one big server. In Europe, the resulting server will be Andromeda while the merged North American server will be Cassiopeia.

To prepare for that to happen, Kakao has begun the process of halting some services. According to their original announcement, account creation stopped on January 5 for the servers that will be pulled into the designated final servers, but that’s not the only thing that’s being halted for a while. In addition, they’ve now closed the temporary Protection Transcendent Runestone Exchange Shop. Also, players will no longer be able to move into Luxury Houses or pay taxes until after the merge.

Of course, Kakao will be compensating players on the restricted servers with a “token of gratitude”. Those tokens will roll out on January 5, so in two days you’ll get your goodies – a 30-day Stars Blessing and a 30-day Wilter’s Brush.
