EVE Online’s Next Proving Ground Event Is A Winter Warzone, Because Space Is Cold
Although… It’s always cold in space so we’re not sure what difference winter makes.
On December 30, Eve Online will kick off the next Abyssal Proving Ground event. This one will be a free-for-all aboard Tech I destroyers. The event will last until January 2 and has a pretty simple ruleset.
The Winter Wonderland allows entry for the Coercer, Dragoon, Cormorant, Corax, Catalyst, Algos, Thrasher, and Talwar. Afterburner speed will receive a 100% boost and a 50% reduction is applied to heat damage taken. There are restrictions on fittings. Weapon disruptors are out, as are shield boost amplifiers, rechargers, and a few other items. Only one local repair module can be fitted per ship so players will need to make some decisions there. And finally, Modules and implants are restricted to basic tech I.
To participate, players will need Proving Ground Filaments found in Abyssal Deadspace or Pochven. Or, if you’re lazy, grab them from the in-game market.
