EverQuest II Origins PvP Server Is Underway
If you missed out on old school EQ2 PvP you might want to try this.
Okay, EverQuest II PvP fans. If you’ve been waiting for the launch of the Origins PvP server promised in the April Producer’s Letter, the wait is, kinda, over. I say “kinda” because whether or not you can access the Origins PvP server, Dozekar depends on whether or not you’re an All-Access member of the MMORPG.
If you do happen to be one of those players, then you’ll be happy to know you can access the server now and get a feel for how things were earlier in the game’s life. The server will kick things off in a pre-expansions The Shattered Lands era and feature the systems that the game had in place in 2006.
To get things rolling smoothly, the developers have implemented staggered leveling. They warn players that any quests turned in while characters are at the current max level will result in lost XP. So, just keep that in mind. Other things the devs make note of are that there will be no spell research, bosses will have their original stat/buff packages, and the marketplace will be limited and not offer free trade.
