Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6-2 Special Site Update

We’re just a little over a week away from the next Final Fantasy XIV Live Letter and (we’re guessing) somewhere between a bit over two or three weeks away from the launch of Patch 6.2. As we eek closer to both dates, the XIV team is trickling out more information on the update. Today, they’ve updated the 6.2 Special Site with a bit more information and images for some of the new content.

The site offers more details on the Buried Memory Main Scenario Quest. Based on the images, we’ll be spending some time with the Garlond Ironworks gang as we help Vrtra search for his sister Azdaja in the void. For those waiting for the Island Sanctuary...well...we still don’t know exactly how things will work there, but at least we have a glimpse of what the island looks like. It’s pretty. Of course…that may change once we get our hands on it.

In instanced combat content, it’s time to explore the Thirteenth. We’re going to make (ill-advised) use of the voidgate we found in the undersea treasure vault and explore a dark castle filled with voidsent in The Fell Court of Troia dungeon. Then, there’s the next Unreal Trial. It’s time to return to Containment Bay S1T7.

Finally, the Duty Support system is being updated to include five more dungeons across A Realm Reborn and Heavensward. These will feature key characters from the game’s story, so it won’t just be Grand Company NPCs anymore. The new duties being added to Duty Support are Snowcloak, the Keeper of the Lake, Sohm Al, the Aery, and the Vault.
