Nexon continues to try and takeover the western market and its next move is to release Ghost in the Shell information. The upcoming tactical based shooter was announced a long time ago, but now the time draws near for players to actually get their hands on the free to play Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex – First Assault Online (First Assault)…there’s a title for ya!
The trailer released today sets the stage for the “defending the people” premise and provides a glimpse at the much loved Ghost in the Shell universe that the game takes place in. Players will carry out battle strategies and formations as they choose from among eight initial characters. Adding a unique layer to the experience, each of these can be customized with specialized body augmentations, weapon attachments and enhanced abilities. First Assault also features “SkillSync,” which allows players to leverage shared cyber-abilities with nearby teammates in combat modes to augment and increase their skills. By using SkillSync in smart and tactical ways, teammates can work together in devastating combinations in battle.
I have to admit, I’m not a huge Ghost in the Shell type of guy. I enjoy it, but I’m not exactly a rabid fanboy. Having said that though, can someone please tell me why they opted to use an Imagine Dragons song from years ago in the trailer rather than some of the actual AMAZING music used in the anime that inspired the game? Maybe that’s just me though…
This is the part of the article where I tell you that you can sign up for beta here, and you can. The first test starts on October 1st. If you’re a super fan though AND you need a job, click here and see all the positions Nexon America is recruiting for on the upcoming title!
This game is like hounds online last hope.
So another generic korean shooter that will not be relevant. Nice. Looks like a copy of Blacklight Retribution, and BLR looks more like a GiTS game compared to this one. Good job once again, korean devs.
its just a generic shooter watch steparu’s plays
“This video has been removed as a violation of Youtube’s policy against spam, scams, and commercialy deceptive content” oh dang THAT bad was the music??!
Been fixed YouTube’s automated system messed up they had the rights for it.
Vid is broken for me.
I suppose you missed the point? They used Imagine Dragons music, and the video got taken down.
Nope YouTube jest blocked some country’s from viewing it for little bit the songs rights were purchased jest YouTube’s automated system. You can google it and find it other places if you cant see it on YouTube.
I like to fellate my father and swallow thick loads for fun and profit.
Judging a game for the music? Come on, rather have a game with amazing gameplay and unique, aren’t you all tired of the generic copy pasta MMORPGS/FPSes that get produced on a daily basis? I agree, the music is not the best, but if the game is freaking raw, mute the music and play.
A solution for the music is by far easier than finding a solution for a shitty game, you can put your own music; however, if the game is shit, you can’t do anything about it.
They’re judging the music choice, not the game.
We are talking about a game that takes place in the GiTS universe. The series that is known for its unique style and atmosphere, soundtrack and ambience play a significant role in reproducing it. Judging this game by its choice of music is exactly what you should do. By shoving this the most generic and overused song in its trailer Nexon just showed us they don’t give a shit about the game. This project is nothing but a shameless cash grab attempt. It is rather clear to me now.
I was thinking.. how bad can be the music ? And when it started ……. HAHAHAHAHHAHAH WTF
Eww, that music. Makes me think of the failed CoDs. EWWWW ._.
Music its kinda ok for a trailer, the idea of the game is very good I’m looking foward to make some videos on this game.
I want to be able to play this so bad.
1. Ghost in The Shell theme
2. FPS
3. Futuristic, but still not Quake or UT
