Fortnite's Pre-Season Event "Doomsday Device" Takes Place Today
With all the delays of Fortnite's Chapter 2 - Season 3, we might all be forgiven for not realizing that today is when the "Doomsday Device" event is supposed to take place -- or that the new season will be kicking off in two days. As with a lot of Fortnite's live events, today's will be a one-time affair and those hoping to take part will likely be jockeying for the best spots. So, Epic suggests those interested log in at least 30 minutes before the 11AM Pacific/2PM Eastern kickoff.

Once in game, players will want to head to The Agency. There should be a giant beacon indicating the correct spot. Of course, if you can't be logged in for the event, there's a pretty good chance someone will record the entire thing and post it on YouTube. So you don't have to completely miss out.
As is always the case with these Fortnite events, we don't really know what "Doomsday Device" will entail -- other than that it's going to usher in whatever changes are required for the upcoming season.
