Go For A Long Drive In Rocket League-inspired Turbo Golf Racing
Hugecalf Studios hopes you'll join the par-ty and help iron out the game in beta.
When you get to be as big as Rocket League, imitators are just par for the course. You'd be forgiven for watching the trailer for Turbo Golf Racing and thinking it was just a new mode in Rocket League, but it's a totally new game by Hugecalf Studios that's currently in beta for PC and Xbox Series X|S.
TGR draws inspiration not only from Rocket League but from various Mario titles: Mario Golf for its "everyone plays at once" nature and Mario Kart for players' ability to snag items and launch missiles at their competitors.
Hugecalf says the game will include 150 cosmetic options and 30 playable levels. You can also equip a variety of Power Cores that will improve your racer's abilities, such as how far you can hit your ball, or grant special powers, such as "ground stop" and "gravitate roll."
You can sign up for the beta on the Turbo Golf Racing website. There's not much else there in the way of information, but you can dive into the game in greater detail on its Steam page.
