Grab Heart Machine's Adventure RPG Hyper Light Drifter For Free Today On The EGS
Here we go, another day, another free game in the Epic Games Store Sale -- this time it's for the RPG fans among us. Today, the EGS is offering free copies of Heart Machine's Hyper Light Drifter, a 16-bit styled adventure RPG with a bit of a dark spin.
Become a Drifter and collect pieces of lost technology, forgotten knowledge, and other bits of history. Of course, you're not doing this just for the fun of it. The Drifter you play suffers from an illness and hopes to discover a way to cure it.
The game, which generally runs $20, may look old-school but promises more up-to-date mechanics. It's described as one of those games that's "easy to pick up but difficult to master". There are plenty of things to fight, environmental dangers, and more. But there's help via weapon upgrades, learnable skills, and a selection of equipment.
