Guild Wars 2 Challenge Mode For The Aetherblade Hideout Strike Mission Arrives, Disappoints Loot-wise
For such a difficult challenge, the reward doesn't seem like much.
A new Challenge Mode for the Aetherblade Hideout Strike Mission goes live today for Guild Wars 2. Players that are able to complete this particular CM will be awarded a unique reward; the Canthan Noble’s Blade, a silver sword that has golden lettering etched into the side. Only this item doesn't need to be cast into the fire for the odd symbols to appear. While to some the weapon may look enticing and worth the difficulty that Challenge Mode brings, for others it might just not be enough.
One Twitter user mentioned a fair point, “Will loot actually be worth it? A new 'blade' can only be earned once, it really needs to be repeatable and worth repeating.” Most of the Twitter replies gave off rather negative responses to the trailer. Some wondered why there even was a trailer for a Strike Mission that already exists, and others mentioned that it wasn't worth it just for a blade.
