Guild Wars 2's "Lunar New Year Festival" Returns Next Week, Allowing Players To Permanently Increase Magic Find Bonus
Three weeks of festivities will kick off soon.
The "Lunar New Year Festival" will return to Guild Wars 2 next week. Players will soon be able to enjoy various activities during the three-week event, and by completing them, they can permanently increase their account's magic find bonus.
We don't have the official details yet, but ArenaNet aims to clue players in on all the returning activities and this year's rewards next week. So far, we know that minigames like the competitive, dodgeball-like Dragon Ball game mode and the agility-based Celestial Challenge will be available. Additionally, Crown Pavilion in Divinity's Reach - the party hub where players can find activities - will be dressed up in traditional Canthan decorations.
Participating in the Lunar New Year activities will allow players to earn plenty of luck, which can permanently increase the magic find bonus on their account. For those not in the know, magic find can help players gain higher-quality loot from mobs out in the wild. The permanent bonus from luck will boost its consistency and span account-wide.
