Gwent's Third Season Launches And You Can Try Draft Mode's Early Access
The next season of CD Projekt Red's Witcher card game Gwent has not only been revealed but is already available to players as of today. As with all seasons, players will earn special rewards for working their way though the season's 100 levels, themed around the renegade sorcerer Alzur. Titled "Journey", the new season will offer players more insight into Alzur via quests published weekly during the season's three month run.
In addition to the new season, CDPR also announced a new draft game mode for the game. While it hasn't officially launched yet, the new mode is available to play in early access. In this new mode, players will be choosing from three sets of cards when building their decks, with each deck featuring a leader's ability, a core legendary card, and a Stratagem. Once underway, the mode lasts until one of the players wins seven matches or someone gets bored with their deck.
