Heroes Of The Storm Patch To Bring Big Changes To Drafts And Add Bans
Draft lobbies are getting a major paint job in the upcoming Heroes of the Storm patch. The new lobby interface is designed to give players a better idea of which battlegrounds they'll be playing on by presenting them with full screen art as soon as they enter. The developers have also added new background art, animated hero models and portraits, new selection animations, and more.
In addition to draft lobby fixes, Blizzard is also adding a highly requested feature -- Bans. Ranked play will now use the "Mid Ban" method, which works similarly to bans in tournaments. The method features two bans per team during each ranked draft.
Custom games will get four choices when it comes to bans. They can either use the Mid Ban method or go with one or two bans... or no bans at all
More details on each of these upcoming features, as well as updated rank requirements, can be found on the Heroes blog.
