Seven weeks, seven patches, one big ‘ole SMITE event. Titled “Odyssey” the event kicks off with patch 3.17 and the introduction of SMITE’s first ever PvE experience, Xing Tian’s Mountain.
Xin Tian’s Mountain is a five-player co-op mode designed to bring the MMO-style boss encounter to SMITE. Players can take on up to 15 different challenges and earn their spot on the leader board as well as an exclusive avatar.
Upwards of 50 quests will be added over the next seven weeks, with players being allowed to participate in one per day. A new set of seven will be released with each weekly patch — each set belonging to a different pantheon.
During this event, players will earn Odyssey Points, Odyssey Chest Rolls, and bonus items for meeting certain requirements. Players who reach Odyssey Level 21 will earn the ultimate reward — The Demon Anubis Skin.
In addition to all of this, Hi-Rez will also be releasing four new gods over the next four months. These will be announced at a later date — although 3 of the pantheons they will be part of have been revealed. Full details on this event and how to participate are available on the SMITE site.
Smite really never had pve till now? I never played smite before but if it’s actually good I might get it. I rarley play shooter games but very few shooter games are actually great like overwatch in my opinion.
What does a MOBA have to do with an FPS?
It doesn’t. I was just saying FPS are better then Mobas but that’s just my opinion.
