Hood Season 1

Robin Hood-themed PvPvE game Hood: Outlaws & Legends has had a rough go of it so far, with player counts on Steam hovering in the double digits. Developer Sumo Digital hopes to rebound with a recent free weekend and the release of Season 1: Samhain, which went live late last week, bringing new maps and a new character to the game.

The new character is Eidaa, and she's described as "a talented skirmisher who brings both sword and sorcery to the battlefield." While she comes with impressive offensive and defensive talents, she also has lower health than any melee character. Her ultimate ability is a magical shield that can block projectiles.

The Season 1 content includes a rework of the winch system, making it so that each team has its own progress bar for utilizing the winch, so there's no more waiting until your opponents are 95% done and then taking them out and doing the last 5%. Additionally, completing other objectives throughout the level will grant you progress along your winch progress bar, making the final part of the heist easier.

The new co-op mode, State Heist, brings a trio of new maps, and all six are now playable in that mode. There's also, naturally, a battle pass for the season with a slew of new cosmetics. Check out the complete patch notes on the Hood: Outlaws & Legends Steam page.
