MapleStory Teases New SHINE Class Ahead Of June Update
Erel Light summons sentinels to fight with them.
Global MapleStory’s first Summer Update of 2026 is due to drop on June 17. When it does, it will introduce Erel Light, the free-to-play MMORPG’s second SHINE class, armed with a Spear of Light and able to summon sentinels to help them in combat. Erel can chain his attacks with his sentinels to execute situation-based combos and coordinated attacks.
Erel’s arrival will continue the ongoing story of the SHINE classes.
For those who don’t mind spoiling that story for themselves before the update arrives, the option to sign up for the Public Test Server is available. Those participating will be able to check out the summer update between June 4 and 9. Just be sure to register before May 26.
