Konami’s eFootball Is Finally Launching...But It's Missing Some Modes For Now
It’s only about 5 months late.
Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer…er…I mean, eFootball, is finally launching this month – April 14 to be exact. This launch comes about five months later than expected as the initial 1.0 launch was supposed to take place in November, but I suppose it could have never launched at all, so here we are.
Konami announced the launch date today in a blog post on the game’s site, stating that they’d taken player feedback on v0.9.0 seriously in their work on the launch version. They added that the development team’s objective was to ‘create a “New Football Game” for everyone to enjoy” and that this information helped them do that.
Of course, there’s still work to be done. In fact, the game is still currently lacking in modes. A new one will be added upon the launch of patch 1.0 titled “Dream Team”, but that’s it for now. For those wondering, “Dream Team” was originally titled “Creative Team.” It allows the player to choose their favorite players and managers when creating…well…the team of their dreams.
On an additional note, it may not be a good idea to get your hopes up for cross-platform support just yet as it wasn’t mentioned in today’s post. And for those waiting for the mobile versions, you’re going to have to wait a bit longer.
