Legends Of Runeterra Reveals Big Changes Coming In Call Of The Mountain Expansion
Big changes are coming to Legends of Runeterra when the Call of the Mountain expansion arrives on August 26. Not only will the expansion introduce new content, but it will also change the structure of card releases for the game. This will also change how the game's ranked season works.
In a recent post on the game's site, Riot addresses not just the initial Call of the Mountain expansion, but the three expansions that will make up a set. The initial set will be pretty big, introducing 89 cards and 7 champions. It'll also add a new region: Targon. The next two expansions will be about half the size of the first one -- 40 cards and 3 champions, but will both include a new region as well. They'll also introduce new themes and mechanics.
Following the three Call of the Mountain-related expansions (or the Call of the Mountain set), each subsequent set will introduce new champions for each region and every expansion will add new cards. Full details on how this new system will work can be found on the Legends of Runeterra site.
