Mainframe Answers Your Questions About Pax Dei’s Building Changes
A new blog post discusses what these changes mean for players.
Recently Pax Dei announced some changes that would be coming to the MMORPG’s building system. As players had questions about this, today the devs decided to drop a post answering some of them.
Not surprisingly, the first question answered is why the changes are happening. Effectively, the devs have found that material costs were causing players to create designs around cost-effectiveness rather than aesthetics. They’ve also determined that some recipes are more complicated than they need to be, so they’re looking to simplify it.
To address the costs, the team is working to create uniform costs for similar items. For example, windowless walls and walls with windows cost the same amount. The same goes for roof pieces. Triangular walls cost around half the cost of regular-sized walls.
The post also covers additional changes that the devs are working on, such as creating new pieces. Among these are the Limestone and Ornamental Logs sets – which are expected for the next major update.
