CrisisX

Developing, publishing, and investing company Hero Games, which has previously backed games like Black Myth: Wukong and Duet Abyss, announced the release window for a new open-world survival crafting game titled CrisisX. Like many games in the genre, CrisisX is post-apocalyptic. Players live in an open-world map with up to 5,000 players. The world has 12 different biomes for players to explore. Among those listed are western-style towns, hidden laboratories, and snowy mountains. Each has its own resources and creatures for players to collect and hunt.

Players will also need to contend with Titan mutants and Infected Hordes. To do so, they’ll need weapons, and the game has a good variety, including sniper rifles, RPGs, grenades, machetes, and more.

Of course, survival is easier in numbers. So, players can form Teams, Groups, and Communes. Having a group will make certain objectives, like claiming resource points and expanding territories, easier.

Crisis X is loosely scheduled to drop sometime in Q2 of 2026. If you’re attending Gamescom, you’ll have the chance to check the game out for yourself as Hero Games is offering an exclusive first look. Note that at this point, no monetization plans have been mentioned, and looking at Hero Games’ portfolio, it’s a little difficult to make an educated guess at the moment.
