Mechs Return To RIFT For A Weekend Event
Defend the realms to earn Chaos Motes and claim mounts, pets, and more.
In RIFT, the Mechs have returned to Telara — shaking the ground and spreading chaos across the realms. Once again, Ascended are being called upon to defend their world from the mechanical threat. Beginning September 5, players of the free-to-play MMORPG can join the battle and push back the invasion before it overruns the land.
Adventurers can take up arms by accepting daily quests from Sanctum, Meridian, or Tempest Bay. Beyond these hub cities, you will also be able to participate in Warfronts, Expert Dungeons, and dynamic zone events through the LFG tool. Each day offers new opportunities to prove your strength against the Mechs. Completing all available daily quests rewards 65 Chaos Motes per character, which can be traded at event NPCs for mounts, pets, and other limited-time prizes. And if you want more, you can also spend Credits in the RIFT Store to claim additional rewards.
The highlight of the event is the main quest, Defender of the Elements, which sends Ascended across multiple zones — including Vostigar Peaks, Silverwood, Freemarch, Shimmersand, and Stillmoor — to face off against powerful Mechs and protect Telara’s elemental balance.
The event runs until September 8 at 23:59 (UTC), giving players only a few days to stock up on Chaos Motes and collect exclusive items before the Mechs retreat once again.
