NetEase Looks To Bring Justice Online West This Year, Can Play Now If You Understand Chinese
The martial arts MMO is slated to come to western audiences in Q4.
Fans of martial arts-themed MMOs will have a new game to explore later this year. Today, NetEase announced tentative plans to release Justice Online, the MMO based on the novel Four Famous Arrets, in the west in Q4 2022. The game explores traditional martial arts and its community (known as Jianghu) in a massive world filled with vast landscapes.
Recently, the game received a large update increasing the game’s playable regions to nine, with all-new landscapes filled with fire, ice, and sandstorms. With these new additions, the game’s map is nearly 1000 square miles in size. Of course, there’s plenty to do, ranging from the more mundane such as mining and trading, to combat. Players can also capture and tame almost any animal in the game – including giant spiders. Of course, they’ll need to fight them first.
In addition to the content update and the eventual launch in the west, NetEase also revealed that the game is now playable on almost any device via a cloud-based client. This means it’s technically available to international players right now. That said, the game has not been localized, so players will need to understand Chinese in order to play it as is.
