Marvel Rivals Season 7: The Most Significant Hero Buffs & Nerfs
These heroes are affected the heaviest by the Season 7 balance adjustments.

Marvel Rivals Season 7 has finally arrived! In this season, fans of the free-to-play team shooter are gaining the newest hero, White Fox, on the Strategist roster, a new map, new mechanics, additional mechanic changes, a new Battle Pass, a new wave of hero skins, and, of course, a new set of seasonal balance changes!
In this set of hero balance changes, there are a few interesting nerfs, buffs, and adjustments being made to characters across all three roles (Vanguard, Duelist, and Strategist). You may be wondering which heroes on the roster have been affected the most heavily. Well, you’re in luck. Here are the most significant buffs and nerfs in Marvel Rivals Season 7.
Hulk Can Secure His Ultimate More Rapidly

In Marvel Rivals Season 7, Hulk is gaining some buffs to his Ultimate charge, making it easier to earn. This change is occurring as a tweak to his Indestructible Guard absorbed damage, with the ability charge conversion rate increasing from 100% to 130%. In addition to this, Hulk’s Gamma Burst is gaining two charges, each of which will have a six-second cooldown. Single hit damage is being reduced from 75 to 65, and Gamma Burst cooldown after each use is reduced from 6 seconds to 2 seconds.
Essentially, Hulk is going to have access to some of his cooldowns more frequently, as well as be able to accumulate Ultimate charge much more quickly and consistently. It’s a pretty solid buff for the Vanguard across the board.
Emma Frost Gets Survivability & Ultimate Adjustments

Emma Frost is getting some adjustments, nerfing her damage reduction in Diamond Form down from 70% to 50%. However, Marvel Rivals is also adjusting Emma Frost’s Psionic Seduction (Ultimate Ability) damage falloff at 30m from 50% to 70%, nerfing the ability slightly. In addition to this, Emma Frost will now gain 20% damage reduction when using her Ultimate.
This means that Emma Frost’s Ultimate ability gains enhanced survivability, but a nerf to damage. She also gets a survivability nerf via the changes made to Diamond Form. Overall, it feels like some fair changes are being made to help balance Emma, considering she has never been ‘bad’ since release, and quite often has been overwhelmingly strong, sitting at the top of the meta.
Black Panther Gets Multiple Buffs After Falling Flat in the Previous Season

Black Panther was previously hit with some pretty significant nerfs, and as a result, there has been a lot of falloff in Black Panther as a viable pick. He finally steps back into the game with some pretty darn notable buffs with Season 7’s arrival. From now on, Black Panther will have no cooldown for jumping after detaching from a wall.
Following player feedback from the Season 7 early access playtest, Marvel Rivals devs have also decided to implement additional buffs for Black Panther. He now has a new effect on his spinning kick in which the dash movement is omnidirectional, enhancing potential for playmaking. Spinning Kick damage is being slightly raised from 70 to 75, and Spear Toss recovery time per charge is being reduced from 6 seconds to 5 seconds.
Scarlet Witch Gets a Strong Buff For Season 7

Scarlet Witch gets heavy buffs across the board! In Season 7, her left-click, Chaos Control, will deal increased damage to enemies within close proximity. This ability now has damage falloff for better balancing, starting at 10m and dropping to 90% at max range. Base damage has been buffed from 80/s to 85/s, which would result in 76.5/s at 20m.
Her right-click, Cthonian Burst, can now be used more frequently thanks to buffs that increase the charge by Chaos Control hits from 0.1 to 0.15, helping Wanda pump out more damage and have much more of an effect at close-to-mid range.
Daredevil Hit With Another Wave of Nerfs After Standing Strong

Daredevil has pretty much been the strongest dive Duelist on the roster ever since his release. After starting out as overwhelmingly strong across all Competitive Ranks, he then gained some nerfs in previous balance adjustments. However, Daredevil has proven himself to still be doing very well following these nerfs, so Season 7 has hit him with another wave in hopes of better balancing the hero.
According to the devs, Daredevil’s tankiness and damage output are being affected. Devil’s Chain end damage is being reduced from 35 to 25. Devil’s Chain bonus max health is being reduced from 125 to 100. Lastly, Sonic Pursuit’s damage reduction is also being reduced, from 20% down to 10%.
Human Torch Gets Massive Ammo Recovery Buff

Poor Human Torch has been in a rather tricky spot for a while now. So far, Johnny has found himself either completely overpowered or completely underwhelming and reliant on Team-Up abilities to be effective at all. It’s made him somewhat of an all-or-nothing character across the Competitive Seasons, with the most recent stage leaning close to ‘nothing’.
In Season 7, Human Torch is getting a massive ammunition buff, which both gives him more uptime and more damage potential. Now, Johnny will instantly recover all Fire Cluster ammo energy after not using Blaze Cluster for 1s. It has been noted that further tweaks will be coming to Human Torch throughout the season.
Blade Gets Buffs Both in Close-Combat and Range

Blade is yet another character that has struggled in terms of balancing. If overtuned, he can become completely overpowered. Yet Blade has struggled to perform consistently in previous seasons due to how various balance change updates and adjustments have panned out.
In Season 7, both Blade’s close-combat and ranged damage potential are being buffed. Hunter's Shotgun Projectile Speed is being increased from 150m/s to 180m/s. Ancestral Sword Attack Range is being increased from 4.5m to 5m. Bloodline Awakening gains a new effect in which excess lifesteal now grants Bonus Health (max 75; conversion rate 50%). Increase lifesteal Ratio from 65% to 70%. His Ultimate Ability, Thousand-Fold Slash, also gains a new effect in which the Lifesteal effect now works without switching to Bloodline Awakening and also converts to Bonus Health. Increase Healing Reduction to enemies from 20% to 40%.
Deadpool Gets Minor Nerfs That Will Make a Difference Across All Three Roles

Lastly, Deadpool gets slight nerfs on all three of his roles, which helps to better balance him across the board. On Vanguard, Deadpool’s survivability and Ult frequency are being affected, with Deadpool In Your Area - Vanguard (Upgraded) Damage Reduction being reduced from 40% to 30%. On Duelist, Deadpool actually gets a small increase in his health from 250 to 270, but his Ultimate is once again nerfed, with a cooldown increase from 45 seconds to 60 seconds. Lastly, Strategist Deadpool’s Ultimate frequency has once again been hit with the same nerf as the Duelist-Pool Ultimate, increasing in cooldown from 45 to 60 seconds.
