Pixel Art MMO Soulbound Announces Steam Version
The game, featuring bullet-hell rougelite combat, has amassed a sizeable audience in its browser and Discord versions.

Indie developer Spiderware is bringing its pixel art MMO set in a virtual world to Steam. The free-to-play game, Soulbound, has been available to players via browsers and Discord, bringing in over a million players. That may not seem like a lot when compared to other MMO’s, but we’ll see the numbers go up once it’s officially live on Steam, I’m sure.
For players into games with a more classic look, Soulbound seems like a good one to check out. If you watch the video below, you can see that the art looks good and the game seems to have some interesting bosses to fight. It is built in an isometric perspective, and the combat is roguelite. Players can custom-build their characters, choosing from more than a dozen abilities and upgradeable skill trees. That said, the game still boasts the MMORPG trinity of Tank, DPS, and healer.
Soulbound also features plenty of non-combat-focused content. That means guilds, housing, farming, and the like. There’s no official Steam launch date as of yet. But players can add the game to their wishlist to find out as soon as possible when it will go live.
