Some MMORPGs just feel like home to players. Perhaps it was their first game, or the one that managed to hit just right. Whatever the reason, Ragnarok is one of those games for players. But like most games that sing to our nostalgia, it’s not as young as it used to be – it’s also not available in as many places as it used to be. So, a game set in the same universe but with a better engine and modern mechanics sounds like a pretty good idea.

The game in question, Ragnarok X: Next Generation, is a cross-platform game for PC and mobile devices. It features an enhanced guild vs guild system and six classes that each offer two progression classes. Each class can be customized, allowing players to build something that fits their playstyle. The game also offers all the MMORPG standards: crafting, fishing, and more.

One other feature the game offers will either be incredibly appealing or off-putting, depending on your personal feelings on the matter. That is auto-questing. It does make perfect sense for a game that’s built with mobile play in mind.

Those interested won’t have to wait long to check the game out. It launches globally on May 8. Pre-registrations are open, and rewards are being given out for the registration milestone. Currently 4 of the milestones have been achieved and there are only two left.
