Rumor: Dead Space devs making free-to-play MOBA?
After making a successful third person horror game trilogy what should a studio focus on next? Well for the Dead Space devs at Visceral Games that focus seems to be a directed towards a new Free-to-play MOBA. As pointed out by IGN, the developers first posted job opening for a Global Community Manager that specifically requires an "unhealthy passion for MOBA games" in its candidates.
The developers then went on to open a game designer position asking for someone with "experience on MOBA, Action RTS, Action RPG, or Related Genres". Hmmm.....
Both positions have since been filled but Visceral is still looking for a Lead Multiplayer Map Designer with "deep knowledge of multiplayer gaming" as well as a character concept artist for an "upcoming PC action title."
So where does the F2P work into this equation? The hint lies within the Global COmmunity Manager listing where the ad mentions that the successful candidate "will also work with Play4Free’s third party operations". Play4Free is of course the F2P extension of EA.
Past this point we have no clue as to exactly what they are making. Some suggest a Dead Space MOBA but my hunch is that it follows something similar along the lines of the FPS MOBA Super Monday Night Combat. Then again it could have nothing to do with Dead Space or FPS. What are your thoughts?

lets also look at the other "f2p" mmo they have in battle forge.
they should just let dead space be as it is.although thats not likely to happen whenever ea gets dollar signs in their eye they just shovle out half baked piles of crap to make quick cash
"PLY ZIS SH1T GAIME AND GIV ME U MUNEY"-EA Games philosophy.
Not going to play that MOBA anyway, my MOBA game is LoL right now, and i dont want to pay for full acess to a fcking MOBA that is the same as the others there fully free.
And split the game in 2 types PVP and PVE .
PVP : Player vs player
PVE : Survival against necromorphs ETC (with waves bosses )
There is really no market for any game outside of those, as the other MOBA's that have come out have a pretty small following..
And I suppose it's going to have childish graphics and click to move RTS style controls as well?
Unless they do something truly cool and unique with the "3 Tower and Creeps" gameplay it will just be a massive waste of time and money.. Better spent on a true Dead Space MMO perhaps?
a) Getting attention from the MOBA crowd is hard due to larger MOBA games such as DOTA/LoL/HoN
b) EA (No doubt it'll be pay-to-win)
Make a F2P Dead Space MMO.
