Bandai Namco and Primal Game Studio announced today that their free-to-play MOBA/RTS, Supernova, is now in Open Beta. Anyone can now hop into the game and give it a try.

To celebrate the beta launch, the developer has added two new playable commanders Zan-Kir and J.P. Zan-Kir is a martial arts master while J.P. is armed to the teeth with missiles, lasers, and more. New skins and an aesthetic feature called “Environments” have also been added. The Environments will allow players to pick a backdrop before entering a match.

Those wanting to try out the Supernova open beta can signup on the official game site.

      • Shards of War is a WASD based sci-fi moba

There are also third person based WASD mobas like SMITE and Paragon among others.

LoL and Dota 2 have almost total control of the traditional RTS style MOBA market there isn’t really any space left for others. Even Blizzard coundnt pull it off.

Its like trying to release a new PVE themepark MMO to compete with WoW and Final Fantasy XIV.

      • I’ve played several RTS where you use WASD, not sure if that applies to this game , can’t really tell from the marketing trailer

  1. If there is no WASD controls then its unplayable poop. will going down like other poop mobas with unplayable controls
