The Cycle: Frontier’s Third Season Brings Big Weapon Improvements
The update will introduce MK II weapons to the game.
A little over a month from now, Yager will drop the Season 3 update for The Cycle: Frontier. This update will introduce new content to the game as well as new features intended to deal with cheats.
Content-wise, players can look forward to a new series of weapons that can only be found on Fortuna III. That’s right, these can’t be bought or crafted on Prospect Station. Players are going to have to go out and explore if they want them. This should result in making rarer weapons more readily available as well as expanding the list of available weapons.
Speaking of the Prospect Station, the update will add new visual effects and architectural designs. It also adjusts the NPCs living there to make the environment feel a bit more alive. The matchmaking system is being improved, new campaign quests are being added, and Fortuna III is getting its first flying enemy – The Howler.
As for Yager’s “War on Cheats”, the developers have been working to improve this as well. One of the new features being added is the “Cheating Victim Compensation System”. This new system will assist players in getting back items they may have lost to cheaters. The update will also introduce a Trusted Status and shielded matchmaking, as well as upgrades intended to improve cheat detection and reporting.
