Throw Snowballs And Become A Theatre Performer In LotRO's "Yuletide Festival" Today For New Rewards
Before the event's launch, the devs patched in adjustments to the Guardian class, quests, and more.
The Lord of the Rings Online welcomes back its annual "Yuletide Festival" today. Standing Stone Games has published a guide for players that explains the many festive activities available, such as snowball fighting with your friends, becoming a performer of the Frostbluff Theatre, and more during the event to earn new rewards.
The Yuletide Festival will run until January 3 at 3:00 a.m. Eastern Time. Upon logging in, players will receive a quest called "Yuletide Festival is Here!" and gain a map of the town known as Winter-home in Frostbluff. Speaking to Mara Sandydowns in Winter-home gives players their first quest to complete, followed by others rewarding Yule Festival Tokens.
While most of the festive fun happens in Winter-home, many familiar areas like The Party Tree in The Shire and Thorin's Hall Inn have various quests/activities to enjoy.
The timed event also features two Instances available from the Instance Finder. Finishing them awards players with Festivity Tokens, which they can exchange like the Yule Festive Tokens for neat prizes. Players could also celebrate the festival through snowball fights by picking up a repeatable quest, gathering food in Breeland, collecting Mistletoes in Duillond, and making a name for themselves as a performer in the "Mad Baggins" show.
As you complete quests and whatnot, don't forget to exchange the unique tokens you collected. Yuletide Festival 2022 returns old goodies and debuts new cosmetics items, housing decorations, war steeds, pets, outfits, and many more. Furthermore, during Yuletide will be exclusive Hobbit Gifts available, including a new Training Snowman and Training Snow Dummy.
Just before the event's arrival, Standing Stone implemented Update 34.1. Yesterday, fans saw adjustments to Guardian, making the trait "To The Rescue" correctly grant 100% Critical Chance and other tweaks. Moreover, automatically accepted quests that recently stopped working should be fine now, including Roving Threats, the Gundabad jewel quests, and more.
You can learn more details on Update 34.1 and The Yuletide Festival on the LotRO website!
