Ubisoft Makes Tom Clancy's The Division Free To Claim Until Tuesday

Brace for PvP! Usually limited to an eight-level or six-hour demo, Ubisoft is making Tom Clancy's The Division free to play and download for PC players for one week, from now until Sept. 8. You'll have to log into your Uplay account and claim the game before 4:00 a.m. in your local time zone; once you do, it's yours to keep forever.

The Division launched in 2016, with the premise that a deadly pandemic had spread through the world in the near future, which doesn't sound relevant in 2020 at all. The sequel came out three years later, and while it's certainly more refined than the original, the first game was -- well, not that well-received, though it was a major financial success. I suppose this counts as a no-risk way to take a look at it and see if Ubisoft addressed the concerns of the fan base before moving on to The Division 2.

Check out the giveaway page on Ubisoft's site for more instructions on how to claim your free copy of The Division.

Got this game free with my video card. Wasn't worth it then and probably not worth it now.
