Warhammer 40K Darktide's "Grim Protocols" Free Update Will Add New Game Mode, Missions, And A 2nd Anniversary Event
If you want a few new weapons, you'll be getting three of those, as well.
Alright, Rejects, time for another free update to Fatshark's looter-shooter Warhammer 40K Darktide. Grim Protocols is a free update for all Darktide players and it will drop on December 3rd on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
The update will coincide with the shooter's 2nd anniversary and events are planned to take place. We don't have specifics on the actual event itself besides knowing that it will reward players with a unique weapon trinket.
As for the update's content, players will receive a new game mode to take on if they've already been playing endgame content. "Havoc" mode will be catering to those that are looking for extreme challenges at endgame and you'll score new cosmetic rewards if you're able to survive the challenge. We'll need to wait for the patch notes to see what the mode's objectives actually are, though.
A new mission will send Rejects back to the Carnival for a little more exploration, but cultists aren't going to be happy about you being there. Two-Handed Force and Power Swords, and the Ogryn Heavy Stubber will add to the game's weapon lineup, giving you a few new carnage-causing options. Finally, Grim Protocols will also include the expansion of the Penance progression track with new challenges and rewards, as well as quality of life improvements such as an extension of the Party Finder feature.
