Wayfinder Finds A New Home On Xbox And Players Are Able To Get Hardcore
No, the game is not on Game Pass.
Things are more challenging for Wayfinder players today. The dungeon-delving game has added the promised "Hardcore" mode, giving you the ultimate challenge in the world of Evenor. If you deign to take on the additional hurdles, know that you'll only be able to play co-op with others playing in Hardcore mode. This new mode also requires that you start a new save file.
While taking on the increased challenge, if your Wayfinder should find their way to an early grave, they will no longer be available to play in that save file. Should all of your Wayfinders perish, the save file becomes unplayable. Just make sure this is what you want. Unlike other difficulty settings, Hardcore cannot be turned off or changed once in the game.
In additional Airship Syndicate news, Wayfinder has found its way to Xbox. While I thought the console's launch would slip into February, I was wrong and the team managed to come in just under the wire for thier planned January launch. You can purchase the game now for $22.49, a 10% discount, on the Xbox store. Should you opt to support the team a bit more, the Critical Role Supporter's Pack is also available for $19.99. The full listing details all the cosmetics you'll receive in that bundle.
No, Wayfinder is not available via Game Pass, but yes, you can cross play with all other lobbies.
While the game is installing, make sure to check out the list of bug fixes that came with the update, too.
