When Wuthering Waves Version 2.6 update, “By Sun’s Scourge, By Moon’s Revelation”, hits, it will bring more than just new story content with it. Of course, players can expect a continuation of the story where it left off in Septimont. And that means there will be new places to explore, new monsters to fight, and two new Resonators to roll for – Augusta and Iuno.

It also means players can expect plenty of new events. I counted 10 in the press release. Lots of new events along with additional world content mean players will be roaming around the world a good bit, and while the action RPG already has a pretty excellent system for moving around the map (like being able to just run up walls), things could always be better. Once flight was introduced in the more recent areas, players began asking for it in the game’s first two regions as well. Now, they’re getting it.

That being said, it was noted in the Version 2.6 Preview Special Broadcast that due to the differences in how regions are designed, players shouldn’t expect flight to be available in future areas.

The update will include other quality of life improvements as well. Going forward, mineral collection spots will be marked on the player’s map. Also, a tracking feature has been introduced for some of he collectibles that are difficult to find, like viewpoints and blobflies. The interface has been updated, as has graphical performance.

As for when players can expect the new content, version 2.6 is scheduled to drop on August 28.
